Tulsa Game
Not much talk about the Tulsa game Saturday night. This is a huge game for the Tigers and it just seems odd to me that there's not more discussion about it. What to expect from Tulsa (offense and defense), Predicted attendance, injury report or anything else that pertains to this game. Like I said, this is a huge game, hoping there'll be a huge crowd to support our Tigers.

RE: Tulsa Game
I originally had this game down as a W, but I'm not so sure now. It's a game we're favored to win, but I have no clue how it will play out. Our defense (in terms of actually stopping people) isn't that great. So we'll have to rely on forcing turnovers again. Because our team has some glaring weaknesses, the questions are really the same every week. Can our offense take care of the ball and put up enough points? Can the D keep the opponent from scoring almost every time?

I'm ready for some football. It's been a LONG time since our last home game. This game is a huge one for us. Should be a fun day of tailgating.
In terms of attendance, I'll go with 34,250

RE: Tulsa Game
Tulsa is really good offensively - they can run it, and it feels like Dane Evans has been there forever. He's a really good quarterback, lots of experience, good wide receivers. Will be a real challenge for our defense - I'm hoping to see our defensive line get some penetration and pressure the QB, but may need to supplement with more blitzing than is our norm.
Offensively - we just gotta limit mistakes. It's really just that simple. When we get it going, we can be a powerful offensive team. We saw flashes against Navy last week, but had a few too many drops, couple of bad decisions (by players and play-calling), and an untimely turnover. I think we'll try to continue with our mix of throwing/running, and see which back has the "hot hand". The O Line is steadily improving, so I look to see us running the ball down their throat a little bit, especially late in the game.
I'm being a total homer here, but I think we take out some of last weeks frustration on Tulsa. I think we end up winning going away - but we have to keep the pedal down, because Tulsa can score in bunches.
Go Tigers!

RE: Tulsa Game
This is a game where many people in this town just see the name Tulsa and think no big deal. Unfortunately don't think we will have a big crowd, maybe around 30k. This could be a very entertaining game for the casual fan but for the diehards this will be a tough one. Our defense simply must play a lot better than it has or we will get lit up. Hopefully our O line can give Riley some time because we will need to score a lot to win this one. Be nice if Pollard took his 3rd one to the house to start the game!!!
No rain, decent temps, should be a fun tailgate tomorrow, can't wait

RE: Tulsa Game
It's a shame that coming off our first loss, we have the game that falls on the Saturday night of Halloween weekend. We can't come because of other commitments that night, and I'm sure a lot of people are probably in the same situation.

RE: Tulsa Game
Yea, it seems like these two teams are evenly matched. I am expecting a very close game. I am concerned with the lack of depth on the D line for this game. Hope the next guy up can do well. Brady might have to play more snaps than they want him to.

Ya just gotta get your priorities right. This is a Saturday during football season. Why would you expect to be doing something other than attending a Tiger football game?

Kids & decades-long friends win out this time. The husband will be there, however.
