If a man hits a woman, it's pretty much a no win situation for the guy--no matter what she might have done to provoke him.

It's not so much about what's fair or equal, as it is about what will prolly happen to the guy...even if she attacked first.

If the woman comes at him with a gun or a golf club...well...I think we all know the ending to that story. It was still a no win situation.

Ding Ding. We have a winner. Of course, it's unfair to the internet tough guys in this thread that think its cool to hit women.

Abuse can also be verbal, psychological, as well as physical.
Some people grew up with these types of abuse, and are not able to cope, and lash out, either verbally or physically.

I have seen many girls/women be very manipulative to provoke abuse.
A lot of these behaviors start at home when they are kids.
It is frustrating to be involved in these types of relationships, but sometimes that is all some people have been exposed to.

I am not defending either party, but verbal abuse is just as horrible, and usually leads to these episodes.

I just completely disagree with that. A man should never hit a woman. That does not mean that I think it is okay for a woman to get physically violent with a man. It just simply means, should a woman hit a man, that man either needs to walk away from the situation. That is all. A woman hitting a man does not justify a man hitting a woman IMO. Just like a child hitting an adult does not somehow justify that adult hitting the child back. Should the child hit the adult in the first place? Of course not. Does that make it okay for an adult to get violent with a child? Of course not.
