I was going to make some smart-azz comments, but none of this stuff is funny. For these players, their teammates, their new coach and staff, this school and this community, this is a very bad incident.

And...well, I will make one snide comment. I still miss my friend, Reggis Ball, whose antics were really a tempest in a teapot. Much ado about nothing there.

I know that. That was my point. Just because someone fumbles a ball does not mean they need to be taken out of the game.
