RE: NCAA Letter to UNC
I skimmed it as opposed to reading at a very detailed level, but that is pretty interesting.

UNC really has nothing but an argument from a procedural POV (you can't penalize us for these technical reasons). The NCAA doesn't seem very amused with that. They are arguing from a fact-based POV.

Yes, however, the partially-redacted witness list hints strongly that UNC got away with throwing women's basketball into the woodchipper and will skate on men's ball and football.

Absurd doesn't even come close to what's in that response.

I kind of hope the NCAA responds the same way to this the way the AAU did to Nebraska's counterargument to remain within that body. Like Nebraska, UNC took some shots at the organization the way Nebraska took shots at top institutions' (including Princeton's) relatively low research funding intake.

You just don't do that.

And, as an organization, that is far larger than any of its members, you keep your members mindful of that.

Oh my a threatening letter in deed. Wake me when they actually sanction UNC. I'm not sure I'll still be alive then but, I give you permission to dig me up and tell me any way. 07-coffee3
