I love bashing the Baby Boomers. They took the prosperity their parents sacrificed greatly for them to have then bet against the future of their children.

Do you sit around every morning to think of what silly threads you can start?

I hate the boomers. They are the worst and most selfish generation of all time.

even on a local level you can see it. they vote against schools to save money on property taxes even though a strong school system raises property value

I've always been of the impression that most school district / fire district / bonding referendums tend to get passed. Not all, but most.

I would characterize it more as "we want the same shot you got." For example the "I worked in college and was able to get by" talking point. In the 1970s you needed to work 4 hours a day to do that. For a college student to work while paying tuition today it's something like 23 hours a day.

Boomers also complain about how Gen Xers and Millenials are...Yall are our parents and/or grandparents! You helped make us how we are! LOL

I disagree to a point. While I think early baby boomers are the ones that have issues. The later bloomers were much better for America.

Same shot? There are diversity hiring programs. There are job training programs. There are counseling sessions, there are entry-level jobs, there are community colleges, there are blue-collar jobs, there are any number of ways to integrate yourself into the workforce.

I've had 24 year old new hires with a year under their belt ask about being promoted to manager, I've had women cry at work about a text their boyfriend sent them, I had a dude who's car broke down on the way to work only later to find out that it broke down because the engine grenaded after an estimated 35,000 miles without an oil change: I could lend you 100 examples of my generation giving ample opportunity, if not undue opportunity, to Millennials only to see many (but no all) squander it.

I hate this current Millennial attitude of many in my workforce and among my family/friend/social class of "How dare you even suggest that I might have any control whatsoever over my own life and happiness?!" As well as the implication that nobody over 30 knows what it means to suffer. It's pervasive and it is what is holding Millennials back, not some nebulous Baby Boomer.

The liberal establishment has been in control of academia and the costs surrounding academia since the 1960s. This is the fault of liberal academia, not the broad-brush Baby Boomer generation.

As I boomer?..If I was the problem?...then....I am proud I fcked it up today's instant gratification,entitled and pussified generations. Never mind that Im still working harder than most of them, give back to my community and act like a fcking adult. Deal with it.

I saw you post gymnastics references earlier. go look at a gold medal routine from the 1950s olympics to 2016 and look at the difference. that is the perfect analogy to compare millenials to baby boomers.
