Putting games on nicklodeon? Cause that what kids want to see instead of cartoons. We all know that kids are going to send their Christmas money and allowance to a school they've seen on tv.

It's been well studied that CFB exposure impacts enrollment. Think about all those little Rudys in front of their Philco televisions.
I don't disagree with the idea behind what Diaco was saying.

That was a time when there were like 3 tv stations, not nonstop media saturation in a 24 hour cycle when more kids are glued to their mobile devices than actually sitting down and watching games. Kids may have influential power to have their parents buy toys but not much else when it comes to things like that. I grew up a Norte dame fan and would've attended there, but I didn't want to pay $40k a year for just a BA. Drawing a connection from games on nickelodeon to fandom is a leap evil knieval couldn't make.
