During homeroom I was showing ESPN highlights before we start class. It's a 20 minute break before 1st period where kid's can go down and get a breakfast, do homework, or just chat. It's a special time in our area with the CAVS hoisting the banner, Game 1 of the World Series, and our high school going to the playoffs in football. Just a neat time here. Well the guy who hit two home runs last night Roberto Perez, was being interviewed. He's from the Dominican Republic I believe but his English was rather good plus he just gave us a World Series win!
A kid stated. "Listen to that guy", he can't even speak English and he's taking a job away from an American. We need to build a wall to keep these guys out. A couple of kids responded YEAH! Let's Make America Great Again. I SHYT YOU NOT!!! It was shocking to me. YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE HEARD THIS IN THE PAST!!!!! I teach in a district that is 99% white/caucasian. I can't imagine anyone from a Hispanic origin listening to it. We have stirred up some dark echoes of our past. Some dark forces are at work here. I'm still kind of shocked by it. I didn't say anything to the kid. THIS GUY HIT TWO HOME RUNS LAST NIGHT!

If your class is mathematics for instance.. you stay away from that one during class whatsoever, and you take it to a teacher who teaches an appropriate subject.

There is a hatred brewing and racial lines are being drawn. Keep your head in the sand and let the fascists speak for you. This is beyond crazy and the vast majority of posts call this bs.

Similar to what DaSaintFan said, you don't need to directly 'confront' the kids, but rather seek direction from higher-ups in the department or school who has experience in that area.
