Actually I think what we've established here is stinkfist and TIBL know a little about baseball. Granted I did work with three different MLB franchise before changing lives but still...

Said first baseman Anthony Rizzo, “That rain delay was the most important thing to happen to the Chicago Cubs in the past 100 years. I don’t think there’s any way we win the game without it.”

it's kinda cool when you got to play almost all of them (organized ice hockey still isn't an option in the 'burg)....but it's the first toss with pops when it all started....

the bat and the ball will always be my fave until I finally hit the dirt on my last stride into the slide...

After I had to hang them up, I didn't watch baseball for about two or three years. It was too hard. That even includes time when I was working my low level AA job. Wouldn't watch a pitch. Just did the job. Getting a chance to work in player development and scouting cured that. It was the next best thing to be on the field.

Theo Epstien has a brilliant mind. It bugs the total crap out of me the Cubs got him.

thanks for sharing that personal info....that ha(s)d to be a tug-0-war...all athletes go through it at some point....the longer it lingers, the tougher it can become....

as a fan relative to mlb, I've focused the eyeballs in other directions starting with the first strike season to the steroid era for years at a time....

baseball finally figured out to stop screwing around......people will still fill the parks when all is on the up-n-up....it makes for a better product...

the sport has never been more popular......and that's a great thing for those children currently in the mix.....

baseball and golf....they are the purest left in sport that have withstood the test o' time....

Now! Talk about THE THRILL OF VICTORY! That video captures it better than I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing it.
