That would be a great hire for them... but not sure they are ready to eat Tuberville's contract.
What has Strong actually accomplished, riding Teddy Bridgewater's coattails at UL? That's not good enough. He was simply in the right place at the right time. At UT, immersed in a pool of potential talent, he's produced nothing but mediocrity. UC could do better.
Right place right time lol.
He's done nothing without clint hurrt and Miami athletes.
Didn't think he would either.

RE: Tom Herman all but Official to Texas......
In only his 2nd year of HC experience (Power G5, but, G5) -- and a Houston buyout I'm sure not cheap, IMO, Texas collusion with him better be the reason they just dropped an egg against SMU. Not even winning their Conf Division won't look so great. I could see news reports stating "all but done", meaning they're talking & salivating over him. If Houston continues the way they have been lately, I could see Texas, especially with pressure from alumni, taking a good prospect elsewhere.
I don't think it's good move jumping on him so soon with an inherited team (that he did help inherit), that's seemingly falling and not even 2 full seasons as HC. I could see it being a "well, we're assuming Houston's only other loss is to Louisville," and if they're otherwise impressive and at least challenge Louisville well, yeah, I could see them taking a smaller risk & hiring him.
