Harahan bridge
Has anyone been on it yet?

Just drove by it tonight with it lit up by the LED lights. Wow! It looks amazing. Couldn't believe at first.

RE: Harahan bridge
My neighborhood is having a bike ride down there and back this weekend. Would have gone had they not scheduled it at the same time as the game

Lots of my friends have ridden on it and it's great. Many went across the bridge to W. Memphis and got some Ponchos too.

A double-stack train came to a stop while I was walking. I couldn't stop thinking one loaded flatcar could have 85,000 pounds of freight on it and the bridge is 100 years old.

RE: Harahan bridge
I have been off my bike for the last two months but started back up yesterday with a nearly 30 mile ride on wolf river trails. I love riding my bike downtown so i will try to go to the hahahan bridge before this week ends.

Any of you ever rode that sidewalk on the side of memphis-arkansas (old) bridge? It's so so so sketchy.

I've walked across once and ran across once. It's certainly populated right now which can make it a tight squeeze for everyone at peak hours. I also am privileged to be able to see a sliver of the bridge from my window. Lighting it up has helped my view, its beautiful.

I rode the WRT Sunday as well. Very dusty. It was tough going with all the runners out there between walnut grove and g'town

RE: Harahan bridge
I rode around midtown and downtown last night. Rode across the harahan bridge to west memphis and back. When you get on the west memphis side, there is a cage all around you so all i could think about was being in a WWE cage match.

I can see crime happening on that bridge. On the memphis side, they had a police car parked there. They got cameras on the bridge. On the west memphis side, it was pretty dark and there was no police presence and there were a couple street people approaching people just off the bridge.

There were quite a few people walking on the bridge and several had dogs. That bridge already smells like dog **** in areas, because there are piles of dog **** left on the bridge. One spot looked like twenty dogs had crapped there. It's really a shame that so many people in this area that have no respect or courtesy for anything other than themselves.

I rode it not long before the grand opening. The new trail route seems kind of boring to me but I knew they had to do something to make it sustainable

I rode there again today. There were hundreds and hundreds of people walking it. Didn't see as many dogs and the dog poop wasn't as bad. Never smelled it. Somebody had to have cleaned it.

When there are a good number of people on the bridge, bike riders seem to be a big risk IMO.

My father crossed that bridge or the other old bridge around 1930 on a mule. He was around 8. We heard his entire life how terrified he was. I can imagine!

Same thing on the greenline. I refuse to ride the greenline on a bike unless I'm with my kids riding. To many dog leashes that have almost taken me out.

Fall over the green line, you might get hurt but no hundred foot drop.
