UAB football
I, for one, am really looking forward to having our UAB buddies returning to the league next year in football. C-USA is better off with UAB football.

Someone at UAB needs to be greasing the wheels on getting Gameday to come to Birmingham for the first game. You know how they love a story...

They love a story, if it occurs in a conference they have the broadcast rights for.

At the very least, the divisions will be balanced.

RE: UAB football
I've given a run-down on amendment 14, but here's a synopsis on #13:
There is no shame....
#13 would remove the age limit of 70 from those holding appointed public office (primarily impacting University Board of Trustees). Guess who was forced off the UA BOT last year because he turned 70? Paul Bryant Jr. Should this amendment pass, PBJ could make a return to the BOT. What a nefarious piece of crap.

I cannot see it happening, but to have any kind of shot they can't open at home in week 1. There will be a big slate of games to open the season, there are a handful of big games, but there are only two games competing for Ganeday week 1 next year.
Michigan vs Florida in Dallas is a very big game, but probably only has a real shot at Gameday if Michigan were to win the national title this year.
Just as they were a big part of shutting down the program, Alabama is the problem here. Not only is there a pretty good chance they are back-to-back defending national champs, they also playing Florida State and to top it all off, that game opens Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta. There will already have been Atlanta United soccer games and a couple of Falcons preseason games, but it will be the first major event in the stadium that is already scheduled to host the SEC and national title games later that year and the Super Bowl a year later.

RE: UAB football
Don't really see Gameday happening for us though it'd be nice. Maybe if we were playing a P5 1st game back at home we'd have a shot though I think the folks down the road will put a kibosh on it lest word get out that puts them in a bad light
