RE: Thank goodness we didn't hire Hugh Freeze
There are coaches who say they think this is going to end very bad for Freeze and Mississippi.

Good lord.

Wrong about Pastner because I though the personal attacks on him were a bit much?

And that I thought heading into last season improvement should result in a change?

Some of you take things so personally, you are like little puppies. I still think some of the personal assaults on him, his religion, his haircut, or any idea that he was an abject failure instead of simply disappointing and worthy of being out, were wrong.

Time to grow up and move on kids.

You're spinning. You defended pastner at every turn and not against personal attacks; you defended his coaching, player management, and pretty much everything else he did wrong. You were in the wrong for years. It is what it is.

So TRUE

We all thought Barry was the savior to take over for JF

We couldn't have landed a better coach than Mike N

Dude is awesome and seems loyal

I couldn't be more pleased with the Norvell hire since Day One.

Once again the OP is showing his ignorance. We hired LARRY PORTER over him

Think about it

yeah....but chances are good that Memphis would be in the hot water that Ole Miss is currently in with him in charge.

Instead of cheating why not change the rules or if you can't live by the rules why not do something else? Or if you're going to cheat get good at it so you don't get caught, or follow the Trump doctrine and whine when you get caught and blame it someone else.
05-mafia Well Trump did not kill our own soldiers like Hillary did.

Many of these guys would have embraced George Wallace.

If a politician lying is your measure, they do realize the Apprentice host lied more than any other politicians this past year. These people are a disgrace.

I've got a relative that plays for West Point. I agree with your sig. Monken needs to be canned. I'm not seeing them being able to make a bowl game now. Buffalo and North Texas were supposed to be the bowl game gimme's. The remainder of the schedule will be tough, and since the win last week doesn't count towards bowl eligibility, they have to find 3 wins somewhere

That is awesome. My brother attends there too but he is too small for football.

He lost me after the Buffalo game. Even after the world's dumbest trick play against Navy, I was willing to give him another chance but my patience is gone.

We were up 20-6 on Buffalo and suddenly after not getting a first down in their territory, the team immediately reverted back to 2015 Army. No mental toughness and this year's team completely lacks discipline and mental strength. North Texas didn't beat us. We shot ourselves.

Here is the list of humiliating defeats Monken has collected: Yale, Fordham, winless Kent State, Navy last year, Buffalo, North Texas and there are more.

Meanwhile, Navy is ranked for two years in a row.

We should be 6-1. I am tired of fans from no name schools mocking us (Charlotte, MAC schools etc). I am not asking for Championships. I just want a bowl game. Air Force and Navy can do it. But some many of our fans are just happy with graduating players.

Douglas MacArthur wouldn't stand for this. He has plans for a 50,000 seat stadium and to steal Knute Rockne from Notre Dame.

I can't see us beating Wake Forest or Air Force or even a lost Notre Dame. Navy would be close because of the rivalry but we will probably fumble on their one yard line.

We should destroy Morgan State but Monken loves losing to FCS schools.

I'm trying to get past your statement that the players for ARMY have no discipline or mental toughness. Yikes.

It is true. The few last games have been filled with inexcusable penalties and a loss of momentum and fight.

I didn't realize I was on a political forum. "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right!"

Nothing against Hugh Freeze. He was excellent at Briarcrest. I stand by my opinion Freeze was not the right choice. Neither was Porter. Back then, the school didn't give a fat rats a. . about football. RC is a buffoon. Shirley was not interested. But, when you buy your players to win a Sugar Bowl, you need to keep the payroll going if you want to continue to win. The difference now at Ole Miss is night and day.

Truth is, you're not hiring an NAIA coach like Freeze was at the time. Hindsight is 20/20 and all. So, yeah, it looked like we missed on Freeze the past couple of years. Not so much these days. It also looks like we missed on Mike Tomlin. We had the chance when he was a GA here, after all. We screwed up with Porter - but made it very right with Fuente and Norvell. Let's move on.
