I didn't see much explosion or got the feeling he was going to bust one whenever he had the ball. Maybe next game. Well even if he does, it doesn't mean he will be taking any carries away from Bouagnon. He'll take carries away from Huff, who is a threat to take it the distance every time he touches the ball.

How many times did he get the ball though? I agree I didn't see much, but it's too little to go on.

I never said Tears was not going to be a respectable player. He is overcoming his immaturity and starting to work at this. But he has had many chances in camp and practice and has not flashed much at all. even in the spring game he dropped a couple balls and fumbled on his only jet sweep carry. he is not explosive beyond a average WR. Speed seems to be average and wiggle does not seem to be there at this time. Not sure what made him our highest rated recruit in history. He has a long way to go to ever be that type of player. I hope he developes into a impact player only time and his effort will tell !!

i hope I am wrong but thats just my observation.

Brown, Jones, Wesley and Huff will be our play makers next year.

I'm sure you've seen him more than me so I really don't know. I didn't see anything on the highlight film that made Wesley stand out unless there's something else I didn't see. Huff is good but the coaches don't want to play him so that doesn't do us much good. Haven't seen Brown do a whole lot, he catches a few short passes, that's about it.

Have u heard anything from the players about how Harbison is doing in practice and if he's expected to make an impact next year?

Jones has been out with a bad wrist most of the year. Tears is rebounding from a poor transition from an attitude perspective and is not wildly talented but good enough to play down the road but not as much a game changer as you think .

wr next year Blake, bebe. brown and wesley with tears a 5th option if bebe does not come back buirge could be back in that mix

wesley is the real deal

2017 rec just ok parchment is the best but needs to figure out how to be a collage player I say two years away for him

Buirge needed to learn the play book as he moved 5 days prior to the start of season. I believe he was a two time first team all state DB in high school but thinks his best spot is wr

Thanks Randy. Surprised about Tears, especially since he was considered our highest rated recruit ever, but another reason to why who sites and rankings mean nothing

I think our two transfers could be big for us next year. I agree that Wesley is the real deal and I also think Harbison is going to make a big impact at RB next year

Hard to evaluate Tears when you have the QB situation we have and the coaching we have. Talent wise, outside of Golladay, he is the best we have. He will be an integral part to whatever passing game NIU has next season.

How can you make the assessment that he is the most talented WR outside of Kenny G? Just based off his recruiting ratings? He's shown absolutely zero in practice and in games...

I'm hoping he becomes an impact player as well, but it's extremely hard for you to make that comment based off everything he's done this far. He's need to atleast flash during practices which it sounds like he hasn't yet

Tears? Even money he won't be back next year. He was highly overrated out of HS. Poor attitude and limited physical skills is a deadly combination. Mister? Very surprised at the lack of physicality out of his play. In the Oline felt Steckler played well and moved well glad to see a young OLman developing. Evans appeared shorter than the 6'4 list - looks fine, be better next year.

Hope you are right. I certainly believe we have plenty on this roster to be highly competitive if we get solid play from the QB position next year. We just need to overcome the coaching. Maybe our defense will be consistent as well, but we still need to overcome the coaching...

Yep he is listed on roster as te and was doing drills at home games as TE !!! All true !!

However in practice he runs as a d line guy as part of the SCOUT team prob cause we dont have enough d line guys on the scout team and on the road he stays home in dekalb and lifts with other non travel guys
