I know the handicappers don't think much of the Mean Green. I think Army is around a 20 point favorite now. I didn't travel to this one. I'll be watching it from the couch. Reports from Mean Green fans at the game speak of cold rainy weather for the 11am kickoff. Here is what I think...

-North Texas has a better defense then the teams Army has beaten this season.

-The North Texas offense has more weapons then Army can stop.

-North Texas has gotten better over the course of the season, while Army hasn't beaten an FBS team on over a month.

-North Texas is 0-4 vs. Army, and that streak ends today.

C-USA needs another OOC win. I think we can deliver this one.

that's the conundrum....

I haven't watched army yet, but there is a reason they're winning this year....apparently they have the skill players that don't make ;many mistakes and a defense that can shut down the opposing offense....

granted, they haven't really played anyone...and I've already made my cusa play on fiu, but the other target game was this one....

and I like the points....

good luck....I'm probably going to make a min wager on the mean green....

Yes, and this defense is getting better every week.

This is our best defense since 2013, and they are still learning the new system. We have great speed at the linebacker position. Wheeler, Finney, Hamilton, and Garner are all strong, fast, and physical. They are great against the run. In our last game, Marshall was only allowed 13 yards rushing. Young is a very strong nose tackle, and his back up is well over 300 pounds. Army will have to double those guys. Our DE's can get to the QB and stop the outside run. I really don't think Army's triple option is well suited to play our 3-3-5 defense.

thanks for the info.....I've already pulled the trigger....I agree that style defense combined with speed can shut that gate valve to a trickle...

I also like the under in this one...somewhere in the 20-17 range....having said that, college overtime rules mandate I never bet under in CF.....

It is number two overall in yards allowed, right behind Michigan.

Sometimes, it falters but it is a good defense.
