I worked in the sports dept. part time back then and yes Fleming hated Kirk as did John Stamm.

Kirk was the scapegoat for a lot of stuff going on back then

Maybe, but Kirk had plenty enough wrong with him to be fired, blacklisted and some would say prosecuted. Worst example of athetic academic administration in college sports during his time here. And yes he was responsible and yes I saw it with my on eyes.

But he was the ONLY one fired. The rest of the staff all stayed. And Fowler got a promotion
