Excellent job on the videos.

They spent too much money on these, what were they thinking? Who is going to pay for this? What a huge waste of money we don't have. I bet the Lindner's and big soccer had something to do with this. Did they not realize how far behind we already were? Football program should have folded long ago and all the money that was poured into these videos should have gone to basketball or golf. Unreal, I will take my hard earned money and use it to support some other University like NKU or whoever is playing Mt. Union, cause I really hate Mt. Union. Oh the humanity.

UC has internal people who likely did all or most of this. Both Athletics and University Communications have some very talented creative people on staff.

What's the purpose of making this public?

By releasing it my guess is that they are trying to thwart reactions by an upset fan base and show that they did everything that they could to get in.

Doesn't viewing those make you proud to be an alumni & fan ?

Yup... I was 99% sure myself.

This is something we should just keep for ourselves to sell students and athletes alike (plenty in there for both). Let's just edit out all the Big X (not XII) references, and we'll be set.

Remember, Big 12 noted in their press conf that the Presidents didn't even VOTE on any potential member....as it was all a scam to get ESPN/FOX to pay a little more to remain at 10 members vs forcing them to fork out $25 Million annual for EVERY TEAM that the Big 12 added.

You could tell Cinci's videos were professionally done and certainly made a great case to be a Big 12 member (especially when there are members like Texas Tech, Kansas State, Iowa State, etc...), but I doubt any of the Presidents watched those videos, read any materials sent, etc...as it was all a public ploy to get ESPN & FOX to "blink", and they did.

Basically...because they are a public univ...it fulfills their freedom of information act responsibilities...as I'm sure at least one media outlet (probably more) asked for those...and since UC was very proud of the work they did...they just released them to everyone (i.e. public) at once.
