I like the proposal ... could benefit Memphis and other schools like it. Benefits the kids and ultimately that's what matters.

I dont get how it helps the players. So if they sign early then a bigger better school comes along they can't sign with them?

Helps prevent over signing by the bigger school which leave some kids out on a climb looking last minute for a spot to land. Now they wait till the last days before signing day and the school comes out and pull the offer for a better prospect.
