It happens with the military too. In '68 there was a Brown Power rally in the town outside the base where I served. The base commander, a Hispanic too, ordered us not to show up to it. Since, I wasn't political in those days it wasn't hard for me to not attend. None of my Hispanic friend showed up either.

The way I see it you do not infringed on the uniform that you wear even if it's a football uni.
