Something in that press release that hasn't previously been mentioned, UAB will charge $5/game to park in Lot 15A and other lots around Bartow. The 13th street deck looks like it'll still be free.

Good (inexpensive) way to generate revenue in the wake of the CUSA Tv deal debacle. I'm for it.

I have mixed feelings. Revenue generator, yes. But as of now, we aren't filling Bartow and I'm worried it could be a turn off to the casual fan we are trying to attract.
How many other colleges charge for parking at on campus venues?

This is not new. When Bartow (UAB) Arena first opened, there was a charge for parking in those lots. They dropped it when attendance tanked during the Murry years.
There is still free parking available in the Deck, Lots15G, 15P, 15I, 15F and on street.
