This will mean that after the election I'll have to take several hot showers. But I have to face what I've been thinking for awhile now but didn't have the heart to verbalize or write it out.

With great sadness, I'm with her.

Reading your posts the last 2 months it would shock me if you weren't with her.

I don't want to be with her. She's at Tammany Hall levels of corruption. However, the flip side is that the other 3 candidates are objectively - in my mind at least - incompetent. We can't have more incompetence in the White House. The Clinton's loathe the Obama's and they loathe the Chicago political machine. She will not be Obama's 3rd term nor will she be Bernie lite either.

I give you props.

You have shown a willingness to examine and critically evaluate all the candidates and come to a conclusion based on reason and logic.

out of curiosity what state are you voting in?

Still voting Johnson, gaffes and on-camera stumbles and all.

Hillary is up by a sizeable lead in MI, so might as well. If Michigan were a razor thin battleground state, I'd hold my nose and vote for Hillary.

I might've supported almost any other Republican from the primaries in this match up. But Trump has said/done far too much for me to overlook.

Depends on the time frame. In the primaries, I voted for Trump. I thought he had a plan to rev up the base in the primaries but shift into a stronger issue driven campaign that would focus on the Economy, Foreign Policy and Immigration in the General. I thought if he focused on those 3 issues with serious proposals - he'd have won the election convincingly. Even if he would have picked the economy, it would have been a winner. I was mistaken in what he was willing to deliver - or maybe better - what he was incapable of delivering.

I was open to it for a short while until I gave him a closer look. I was a Libertarian but let me membership lapse. GJ left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth regarding that party. He squandered a golden opportunity to make real inroads into the political arena. The LP could have gained a real shot in the arm. Maybe not a win, but at least momentum to start winning congressional races in the future. He screwed the pooch big time on that. It's become clear that there is too many dead weight in the LP to make it viable.

That is unfortunate. I don't understand how someone so corrupt and hawkish would be your choice

Still Johnson.

Reagan said SLBM's could be recalled. Ford said Poland had no Soviet troops. Obama said there were 57 states. Bush chose to throw up on the Japanese PM's lap. Biden told a guy in a wheelchair to stand up.

Do those things mean they are idiots automatically unqualified to be President? No.

People hold Johnson to a higher standard than other candidates because he doesn't have the stamp of approval of one of the two parties and people are trained to need that stamp.

Well said. The media can make anyone look awful if they want to. Johnson started taking young votes from Clinton thus the knives came out. Having said that Johnson didn't do himself any favors.

My advice to anyone at this point

If you truly cannot stand the thought of a Clinton presidency vote Trump

If you truly cannot stand the thought of a Trump presidency vote Clinton

If you think both are just awful and think both will suck vote Johnson

Johnson was given every opportunity to show that he was a serious alternative. But seriously, you don't know what Aleppo is and you cannot name one world leader that you sympathize with is pretty bad. It's one thing to have a gaffe here or there, but it's another thing to not know some pretty fundamental things. GJ looks good on paper when he wasn't getting a lot of attention. But once he was put into the spotlight, he folded like a cheap tent.

Johnson lost me when I saw a clip of him talking while he had his tongue out & biting it. Then his lack of knowledge came through. All I wanted to see from Trump was a mature adult. I see my 3 choices as being between HRC, McMullen & not voting at all. I'm leaning towards the latter.
