Vs. ODU-I am sure ODU will put up points and this game has been fairly close last few seasons, in fact ODU put a scare into us last year on Halloween before we pulled away at the end...I expect a 14-21 pt. win.
@FAU-THis game scares me to death, we just can never seem to play well vs. FAU, I really am unsure why FAU is so jacked up to play us every season but this one could be an L if we have a lot of turnovers
FIU-FIU is improved but really has not palyed anyone as of yet, should be an easy win at home
North Texas-Another improved team but I would expect we put this game away early
@Marshall-Will not be easy but I expect to get another Win
La. Tech in Shreveport-rematch hopefully we learn how to defend screen passes and have someone who can at least slow down Carlos Henderson and we repeat as CUSA champions
Vs. Minnesota in Heart of Dallas Bowl-Minn. is tricky with a legit OL with Big Ten size but I expect us to finally break through and beat a Big Ten team for the first time in our school history!
I guess I watched a different game because it was the deep/downfield pass that killed WKU. On the other hand WKU threw down maybe 1 once in the first half and few times in the second. Here are the passes in order:

YOu did not watch same game I did then...Yes you took some deep shots but a lot short passes also helped take chances when you were getting 8 yard catches on first down...Easy to take shots when you get 8 yards a pop on first down, you ran a ton of short screens that went for big gains because we could not get off block from your WRs and or tackle your guys once we did get off block...

Western defenders moved up and Henderson flew pass them
Tech first drive second down, the WKU cornerback was right up on the line, and Henderson blew by him, had him by three or four steps and still had to wait on the pass for 48 yard gain. That was when WKU thought twice about doing that again. But yes it's good to have mixture of short passes and downfield passes, but it was the downfield passes that WKU couldn't cover well.

Obviously not, because WKU offense during the Tech game was dink and dunk with short screens and passes, mixed in with some runs, it was almost like Brohm was scare to let White throw downfield.
Whereas Tech had good combination of downfield passes, and short passes as evidenced by the yardage I posted

Have no idea what you are talking about, my comment was about getting killed with short passes vs. you guys and MTSU, I did not say one word about WKU's offense....You took deep shots but we also got hurt on a lot of short passes with screens that gained a lot of yards setting up those deep throws...

It's good. I just find it interesting how everyone views a game differently. I viewed it as Tech having good mixture of bubble and "missile" screens, swing passes and quick outs with quite a few downfield passes. WKU for the most part threw a lot passes underneath the coverage for short gains, swing passes and running plays while limiting throwing downfield.

RE: Realistic Second Half Expectations
For USM, what I realistically think should happen if USM plays like the USM of 2011 and 2015 and not 2013-2014:
v. Marshall: W - We should be able to pull this game out at home, if we don't, we have issues.
v. Charlotte: W - See Marshall.
@ ODU: W - I think USM won't overlook ODU like I believe they did UTSA. If they do, ODU will score 50 on us and I'll look dumb for this prediction.
@ UNT: W - UNT is improved, but I think at this point USM will understand the importance of every game, as they will be battling for the West division crown and the chance to host the Championship game for the first time ever.
v. La Tech: W - It will take our most complete game of the year, but simply put: USM usually performs pretty well when playing in a big game at home with a lot on the line.
I might be a little overly optimistic, but I have to believe that we're going to start creating more turnovers, not turn it over as much and that our OL will finally learn how to block for more than 1.38 seconds each play.
That's my hope.
PS: Also, assuming we stop giving up 65+ yard TD runs up the middle while the RB goes untouched.
