Maybe BYU should be revisited at some time... but I really like our core 12 right now. The right hires are being made in most instances. I like the commitment we've seen on all levels.

There will be no P6. The TV networks (mainly ESPN) have what they want.

Agree. The only way I see it even remotely possible is, If NBC decided to go all in.

Yep, Big 12 expansion was all about positioning themselves for mo' money and make saps out of everyone else. How does it feel to be manipulated by the 12.

No need to go to 16. The American is already the strongest G5 conference by far, and honestly strong enough to threaten the Big XII as-is.

If the AAC were to expand, it should be very picky. The only teams really worth a look (and assuming you don't want to stretch into new Time Zones) are probably teams like Marshall, Southern Mississippi, maybe UMass and Air Force.

You could even bide your time and wait to see if a Big XII team or two eventually falls into your lap.

There will be a need for 4 g-5 conferences so we can mimic the setup the Power 4 will have. So we can have our "G-4" playoff.

Huh? Not only is Cincinnati in the highest subdivision (FBS) of the highest division of college football, but it is a member of the 5th or 6th highest rated conference as well. All things considered, that ain't bad.

I'm sorry that Ohio State has used its considerable influence to keep your program down over the years, but that's not my fault nor the fault of Virginia Tech or the ACC. I wish it were different, and I understand that had things gone slightly different for VT it could well have landed in the same boat.

Personally, I'd love to see the Bearcats on the ACC's conference schedule someday - but I also realize there's just no impetus for the league to expand past 15 members at this time. I'm not sure what else can be said...

#1 It was a joke that the name for a new G5 subdivision would be "FCS". It was pretty clever and really shouldn't have needed an explanation

#2 It's easy to say, from VTs perspective, that Cincy should be happy where they are. You play in a conference where you control your own destiny to win a championship. If VT were to go undefeated, they would be in the playoffs and could win.

This is impossible from a G5 conference. You could argue this point, but you'd either be blissfully ignorant or simply playing dumb to not acknowledge that. Half of the FBS is eliminated from playoff contention the minute the season kicks off.
