I'm not going to make a signature bet, but I will make a case for a Mean Green win this weekend.
Army is having a really good season, but they don't seem to be playing as well lately. Yes they had a big win over an FBS team on Saturday, but it has been a month since the Black Knights have beaten an FBS team. The UTEP win looked great back in the middle of September, but since then UTEP has proven to be a big disappointment.
While Army may be regressing, North Texas has been improving. Our defense seems to be getting stronger by the week, and our offensive line issues looked much better against Marshall. We will find out on Saturday if our line problems are behind us.
My honest assessment is that Army will have trouble with the Mean Green defense. Our D is fast and physical. Army has a solid defense too, but I think the North Texas offense should be able to generate enough points to pull out a close win. If Army actually kicks to our return men, the margin of victory might be wider.
North Texas 20
Army 13
I hope we have a good, injury free game.

You could have just said that you are too scared to bet because your team is still recovering from a FCS team channeling Alabama on your butts.
Army will definitely score more than 13.
Regressing? The Buffalo game was a freak game. Duke was played in a hurricane. We whipped Lafayette like a FBS team is supposed to beat a FCS team.
UTEP does stink but we rolled them like Texas would.
I had North Texas marked down as a win since before the season and my prediction hasn't changed.
The only way Army loses is if our coach decides to be dumb again.
Ditto on a clean game.

You do realize Army went 2-10 last year and lost to the FCS "powerhouse" Fordham Rams? But hey, it's a new year.
Army, just like NT, are much improved and have wins over losing teams. I'd say it's a pretty even match.

Actually, I didn't. I was too busy rooting for Alabama to notice what my team did.
Fordham would have rolled North Texas by 24 points.
And Fordham was a powerhouse. In the 1930's.
And with a few breaks last year, the record would have been 8-4, if not better. But alas, you must win the games.
Army is a 18.5 favorite. That is not even.

It isn't reality either. Just someones best guess.
Marshall was favored to beat us by 10 points, and we beat them by 17. Just saying.
I think we will know what kind of game we are in for by the end of the 1st quarter.

North Texas is definitely improved. They did beat Marshall (I went to this game) but I was more surprised on how inept Marshall offense was than I was impressed with NT's defense. I think Army wins by 2TD's

I didn't brag to a whole board that we would beat Charlotte by x number of points and laugh about it when challenged. I have nothing to worry about.

Since the independents do not have a board, I am rather limited.

Yeah, I can't type on a phone because I'm old. You, however, are lucky that you don't have a larger forum to tell the world how your antiquated offence is going to run over a team and be wrong.
Also be glad that no one cares enough about your team to check you.
