Big 8 Schools + West Virginia Splits From the Texas Schools
I could see this to happened. 6 of the 10 schools could vote to break up the Big 12. Let the Texas schools find any candidates to join them.

The 6 Big 8 schools will invite:

Memphis
Cincinnati
East Carolina
UCF
USF

Colorado State
BYU
Boise State
Air Force
New Mexico

That would make it a 16 team conference with the best from both AAC and MWC.

Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor and TCU could add all the Texas and Tulane schools all to their hearts desired.
