There is always a Fall break/bye weekend. Timing is good this year with mid terms this week. Also gives players with injures (Tiffels) to addition time to heal up before going out to DU next weekend. But I get your point. I personally never like the first series after a bye weekend, as it seems it takes a game to get back to where you where before the bye.

This year they also have off Thanksgiving, which is usually the tournament in South Bend?

Hopefully they can travel out to 5280 on Wednesday pm, get a couple of days to get acclimated to the altitude. For kids that's all that's needed.

Ok. Well, maybe not too bad a time to have it then if they have mid-terms. At least pros and cons.

With two weekends under their belt, I'd say it's a good time for the coaches to regroup and address what's not working so well and reinforce what is working, right before the real season embarks.

No Notre Dame at all this year.
Weird.
I thought we signed, like, a 10 year deal with them for a home-and-home every year?

Well, since they're joining the Big Ten, they probably have to agree to not play Western anymore.

Highlights are up on nchc.tv

Or perhaps it was the other way around??

I got to believe, that behind the scenes there was again, a push to bring ND into the NCHC, prior to them moving into the B10. I'm sure WMU was lobbing hard for this to happen.

If I'm the NCHC commish, after ND snubbed us twice, I tell all the NCHC teams not to schedule them. Let them find non-Conf games with AHA or WCHA or ECAC teams, as I hope the HE teams do the same.

Wow. I didn't realize ND joined Big 10 hockey.

I agree: Piss on them.
Don't play them again.

Big 10 Hockey just increased it's brand.

Ya, but non-Conf agreements are made 2-3 years in advance
