Huge game next Saturday against #25 Navy
Notes of importance:
Chance to become bowl eligible
CMN first chance to beat a ranked team
A chance for us to be ranked if we win
Revenge game for us
Win and we are first place in our division
Navy will have had 2 weeks to prepare for us
Tulane gave us a pretty good test of the triple option

Think Memphis will be ranked when polls come out tomorrow? It'll be fun to see if Mem is #25 VS Navy #24

We'll get some votes. Don't think we get ranked. A wun at Navy could do that.

Navy is a whole different beast with their option. Going to be tough to go up there and win. They had an extra week to prepare and rest, plus they are 13-1 at home in their last 14. Will be a test for sure, but if we come out with a win there, we control our division and could be playing for a championship this year.

Navy is going to be a helluva test. Comparing Tulane's triple option to Navy's is akin to comparing North Korea's missle launcher to ours.

We haven't been playing anywhere near physical enough on either side of the ball to handle Navy .

A miracle will have to happen for us to beat Navy. Based off the last 2 games, we do not stand a chance unless we come in there and be willing to play and not mess around.

I think most will see that the Navy is a foregone conclusion. Do we go 7-5 or 8-4 for the season? I don't think we win the Navy or Houston game and I am not sure we are a technically sound enough program yet to win against Tulsa or USF.

Well let's just forfeit the rest of the season, then...sheesh. Talk about clueless.

Body of work not strong enough yet. Also looked shaky last two weeks on ESPN. Close win at Navy may not be enough. Need to make a statement.

Agree. This team has not shown that it belongs yet but D may be what gets us there. Hope returning players don't put much stock in last years game as this years team is not nearly as good. Give our guys a confidence boost.

UConn had them beat barring total clock mismanagement and they played perfect game to beat UH.

How badly did Navy put it on Tulane, just as a frame of reference?

IF and it is a BIG IF, we can somehow go into Annapolis and come away with a win. The rest of the schedule is very favorable for the Tigers.

Our toughest games are all at the LBS, Tulsa, USF and Houston. With road games at last place teams SMU and Cincinnati.

Tigers will control their destiny with a win.
