RE: S.I. agrees: no expansion
I understand why the Big 12 feels like it should't expand, but why wouldn't the Presidents say they "want" to add four in order for ESPN/FOX to give a larger payout in order to not expand? From a negotiation standpoint, they haven't done very much well since the process began.

The networks have zero power to 'interfere' with these government institutions unless the schools allow them to, so there's no issue here whatsoever.
The schools want to get paid by networks, so of course they will consult with those networks about what they want, just like any business will consult with a client about what the client wants. Otherwise they won't get paid.
Boise State, BYU, Houston, Memphis, East Carolina, Cincinnati, UCF, USF and Northern Illinois is much more valuable with more tv viewers than the ACC schools, and some Big 12 schools.
Since you made the assertion, please provide some data to back that up...
Thanks.

Miami Florida, Duke and Wake Forest gets less than 1 million and at times less than 500K viewers. Everytime Boise State, BYU, Houston and others being shown on ESPN? They get between 1 to 5 million viewers. Schools in the P5 who are in the news for the wrong reasons or such weak losers, viewers tune out. As it is, many people want to watch the winners. People say bring those schools in from the G5 will lose the viewers once they are losing. That is not true.
Louisville, Utah, West Virginia and TCU are the good examples who are winning that came from G5 type conferences.
Colorado and Rutgers sucked big time. Even though Colorado are winning this year, they lost their viewers when they were losing.
Miami Florida lost their fan support and viewers because of the continue scandals.
Baylor could be the next one to lose viewers and fan support because of the rape scandal.
Penn State is kinda struggling with their scandal.
SMU is down ever since they got the death penalty.

Please show actual data AND please show the opponents when Boise State, BYU, Houston are on ESPN.
