Who is the best athlete in AAC history?
For a young conference, we've had some great athletes wear the AAC patch. Who do you think is the best? Please give your opinion if you don't see him or her listed. You can choose more than 1.

This will be controversial but I'm going to say Ed Oliver.. the first 5 star recruit to sign with the AAC in football. He's doing things as a freshman that are downright scary.

It can be whatever you make it. Obviously Oliver hasn't accomplished anywhere close to Matakevich, but I would still choose him before Matakevich if I was drafting a team.

I'd go be the 'Freak' principle. Who is such a beast that you would rate them highest?

Edit: I should've put Bridgewater on there too.

As a UCF fan, it was hard not to pick Bortles, but I have to go with Paxton Lynch.

Yeah... Hardy only left holding the NCAA record for most catches...

If Oliver accomplishes half of what Tyler did in his college career, he had a great career. Don't diminish what Tyler did because he's not that athletic.

True Freshman Ed Oliver leads all defensive linemen nationally in tackles & pass break ups.

Why is Keyarris Garrett not at least on the list? He was the leading receiver in the country last year on a team that had Keevan Lucas (4 games), Josh Atkinson, etc.

Oliver will get his credit and accolades in due time. I was torn between Ward, Lynch, Reynolds, and Bortles. Went with Ward, but you could consider them 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d.

RE: Who is the best athlete in AAC history?
ed has a chance to be the first first-team all-american in the AAC, and he's a true freshmen

he had 1st all american for cbssports and sportingnews midseason teams..

wward has a chance to be historic, 23-3 as a qb, if he ca finish strong, i might go with him, hopefully with 3 bowl wins of which were major bowls (crossing fingers)

Has to be Breanna Stewart. As a member of the American- 3 NCAA titles, 3 First Team All-Americans, 3 time Final Four MOP. Not even close. Doesn't even include the fact that she had an additional NCAA title, First Team All-American and Final Four MOP in the Big East.
