It's no different than any other conference.

Athletics is not front and center for a university president. That's not how that works.

All more time is going to do is damage perception further, right?

They already look lost after putting on their pageant.

All they can do is get to Dallas, and talk it out. They may or may not come to consensus.

You haven't been around some of the SEC schools very much, have you?

Even there, believe it or not, most of a president's time is not spent discussing, thinking about, or making decisions relevant to athletics.

They've got billion dollar budgets, and all the little things that come with that. Athletics is one small piece of the puzzle.

Article can't be valid. It left Memphis off as a candidate.

These guys have been wrong with these issues. Stop reporting false information. From a Big 12 President from Gee hinted that nobody was eliminated. Nobody looks at the West Virginia newspaper. Gee is someone in the know who would be in and who is out.

As usual you completely misread the article. Schools have been eliminated.

No decision next week?
Why do these presidents wait until an in person meeting to talk about what they want to do, can't they just pick up a phone or text or even write a letter...

RE: No decision next week?
This is crazy

I understand they want to make the RIGHT decision but when you have to make a decision based on a decision than why push it further back just to make another decision. My - SMH

RE: No decision next week?
Lucky for all of us we are in a sports first conference. In fact, unlike these academic first conferences that focus on a region of schools like the SEC or ACC, our conference puts the mission in our official name: American ATHLETIC conference. The best athletic schools from Houston to Philly and Tampa to Tulsa!....with a New England flagship and a Service Acadamy thrown in for good measure. And maybe in the future a couple of city state schools in San Diego and Boise. And maybe another Service Acadamy or two...and maybe a Mormon school out of Utah to top the whole thing off...nevermind.
Cheers!

If the AAC loses one or two teams they should back fill from the eleven finalist.
That makes the conference look like a P6ish conference .
