Recruiting and Hilltopper Hysteria
Currently we have 6th best class in nation for 2017 according to ESPN:

http://insider.espn.com/college-sports/b...ssrankings

Add to that the number 1 player in the 2018 class Zion Williamson is vising Hilltopper Hysteria tonight according to Scout's Evan Daniels who is a WKU grad I learned recently....Just unreal! This raises the entire conference if we can really get something building at WKU for hoops....I really hope we have WKU fans show up and our students stand the entire game this season....Stans is doing his job, the fans need to do theres to get this rolling!

http://www.espn.com/college-sports/baske...order/true

Anyone else have anything basketball tonight going on?

What he's doing is impressive. However, if he starts getting the CUSA tournament in BG every season I won't be convinced he's not cheating!

If ODU is doing anything basketball wise before we start exbitions (first exibition is 11/2) I haven't heard it. We used to have a Blue-White scrimmage every year to kind of kick things off, but it doesn't look like thats happening.

Why? UAB has hosted, WKU has hosted conference tournaments before..

UTEP does the same thing with the annual Orange/White scrimmage which this year is 10/22 followed by a couple of exhibition games. Looking forward to it.

It was just a joke. You guys are going to be the #1 team (like UAB has been the last couple of years) and also get to host (also like UAB). I guess its wasn't funny.

You Hilltoppers truly are impressive at most everything CUSA-related.

Except understanding humor. Someone needs to make comic relief a freshman core requirement at WKU.

Pretty good turnout considering that UofL was playing a football game and UK was having their little event.

That's pretty cool to have such an awesome recruiting class in basketball. Way to go, Hilltoppers! Hoping that translates into better recruiting and results down the road for C-USA in general.

RE: Recruiting and Hilltopper Hysteria
I will have the full 15 minutes once it edits and I can get it uploaded to youtube. Takes forever on this older PC. As it is with most of these..no defense was played. Which disappoints me...I never stepped on the court without playing all out on defense. No matter what it was

Here's the first couple minutes...

edit;

part 2

Didn't want to start a new thread but good news out of Hampton. ODU just flipped 3* 6'6 sharp shooter Marquis Godwin from University of Richmond.

UAB got a good big man as well (ODU was after him).

I can see CUSA being a 3-bid (or more) league in the coming years. Need to schedule up accordingly.

Lots of solid 2017 classes coming together for C-USA. This has not been the case in years past. Further proves what I've been preaching that the coaching is getting better top to bottom in this conference.

I still believe that CUSA has the potential to be a consistent 2-3 bid league in March.
