I have to say, for a science fiction writer like me, all of the SF fans on this board make things very encouraging. Likewise, I've discovered that more young people like to read than I ever thought possible. The trailer looks incredible, and I'm not even a big Star Wars fan, thanks for posting it.

Geek has never been hipper or more ubiquitous. Neil Tyson, Comic Cons, Silicon Valley, Elon Musk, STEM/STEAM emphasis to prep kids with skills that make them competitive and leaders tomorrow. Some may hit a peak soon, but others will take their place. We havent tapped the possibilities, and that unleashes an imagination that seeks stimulation that well researched Sci Fi can fill. The strides that are publicized and shared in science fact really catalyzes my fascination of where that pushes and redirects the fiction.
