RE: Pentecostal
When I was at Vanderbilt, both of my roommates became Pentecostal, overnight. Life was never the same for me again....until I moved to another apartment, thank God.

The religious folks that play with snakes and drink strychnine are quite fascinating.

I dated one in college, I went to her church and we were the only ones left sitting in the pews. I also had to carry her out of a bar once when she passed out. Her mom was a little embarrassed when I brought her to the door.

Locks of Luv won't work, they don't cut their hair I don't think.

Yes, my two aforesaid roommates, one of whom was a lovely Jewish girl from Long Island, another of whom was the daughter of the CFO of Coca-Cola, both started speaking in tongues at the dinner table in our little apartment and prayed for my soul. The 1970's was a very interesting decade.

She didn't drink but at the same time, I never saw her eat anything other than lettuce. Seriously. Lettuce. And she drank coffee all day...even till 10pm. Nothing especially strange about it I guess but seemed odd to me. WTS, she had a rocking body bc of it.

RE: Pentecostal
I dated a girl my Soph year at then MSU whose parents were Pentecostal. They were not what I'd call regular church goers and the daughter definitely was not. That girl was a true sport and loved public places. Had some close calls with her.

In many ways, it was. Not sure anyone was ever in their right "mind." I think for most of the time I was too sober for what was going on, but I came through with little residual damage, and I wasn't a nerd, by any means. lol
