JMU @ New Hampshire predictions
This is not your typical New Hampshire team. They have played decent defense and are still getting lots of turnovers which has always been their style to offset manpower deficiencies. The Dukes just need to overprotect the ball to avoid strips and many big plays will happen as a result of missed tackles.
UNH has used smoke and mirrors to get first place in the CAA. Their strength of schedule is poor ranking 206th in division 1.

JMU's strength of schedule is even worse at 207th, but I like what I saw from the Dukes against UNC. They can score against anyone on the backs of a dominant O-Line. UNH got shut out by their FBS foe San Diego St.

Even on the road the Dukes romp.

JMU 38
UNH 20

27-24 Dukes. Smoke and mirrors perhaps but Sean McDonnell has a string of 12 straight playoff appearances. This will be a tough game. They are better than William and Mary and Maine and they have rushed for over 200 yards in each of their last three games.

JMU 35- UNH 28. The wild cats could beat us and are our toughest fcs opponent to date.

I'll take the Dukes in a nail-biter 35-34 on a San Diego Charger-esque botched PAT as time expires

A scenario where our defense failed to get it done with less than a minute remaining. Somehow not surprising. Was there a bogus PI call?

I may be forgetting a game or two but the only time I remember the Dukes ever rolling over UNH was up there in the '04 National Championship season. It was sort of our coming out party because if I recall they were #1 and the game wasn't close. I would love to see a repeat of that but am not counting on it. I'll take the Dukes in a close one. This is big as after that we have a bye and URI so we have a chance to go into the last few really tough weeks with a lot of momentum.

We never play incredibly well up there so I don't see it being a huge blowout, even with UNH being down this year. I say it's close throughout.

UNH 27

Is it just a TV thing but why do they have to have a team from Virginia go to New Hampshire (which is a pain to get to) play at noon? I am not making any preemptive excuses, I just don't get that.

I guess it wasn't enough to have to play 3 times against teams off a bye week.

RE: JMU @ New Hampshire predictions
It could be because of TV, but also could be for warmth - it starts to get crisp in the fall in New England. (2pm would be the best time to start right now but the temp starts dropping at around 3-4pm.)

Well, we won in '06 42-23 @UNH and in '07 41-24 @JMU.

Should be a good game. I think we match up well this year. If we get up early, I don't see the Dukes looking back. Trying to stage a comeback or if we putter as we did vs. Maine, it could haunt us.

34-24 JMU wins.

My prediction...weather looks good, coach Houston gets the team ready to play after a lackluster performance last week on offense...Dukes Crush 45 to 14

Actually we did not play them in 04. 06 was the last time we won up there. Akeem Jordan played a beast of a game and we won handily. In 2011 it was a noon start and we lost badly and did not compete in the second half. In 2013 the game started at 12:30 and we started playing at 230pm. IMO after watching Mickey's demeanor after the game, he must have already been given a performance ultimatum and we failed miserably. We need this win heading into our Bye week.
