Turning point
There were tons of great plays and great moments in the NIU game but the turning point was Jarvion Franklin's catch on the targeting play. I think it woke up the team. His toughness created a sense of pride and the team never looked back.
What a good game last night

RE: Turning point
That was an incredible play. So many great plays last night: Corey's catch, Jarvion's run after targeting, Thompson's hurdle, Terrell's "spinorama" TD, Spillane's pick, on and on. As a side note, I thought the officiating was an embarrassment for the conference. The head ref was a clown. Oh, I thought Alex Grace made some nice plays on D as well. He was in for Asantay Brown for several plays.

Nice to see according to the ref we're "Northern Iowa" again. Rather pathetic.

I was seriously like, 'WTF dude.' Borderline disrespectful to a program that's done so much for the MAC.
Hadn't seen us beat NIU since I was a student. Last night was special. Plz beat Toledo?

I agree with everything here. Jarvion is an absolute bull. It's a shame he didn't get the touchdown on that play. It was jaw dropping to see in person.
I would like to see a replay of the game. I thought we got the screw job by the refs in the CMU game, and last night seemed to confirm that MAC officials are a bit antagonistic to our success. MAC referees have very much distinguished themselves for many years as being the absolute worst in football, and truly have been an embarrassment to the league. Always wanting to be the show, and indeed becoming difference makers through horrendous calls or non calls. The crowd around me was going nuts. It's nice to see we still are winning these games regardless.

Any team with a good QB we're going to struggle against, since we get so little pressure on the QB. I don't see us holding Toledo under 40 points either, and I doubt we'll score that many.

Projections I've seen have the Broncos as high as 21st this week. It'll be interesting to see where their at.

Jarvion's ridiculous non-TD run:

Of course, not getting in the endzone let Corey make the spectacular one-handed catch, so all's well that ends well.
