Today, Tommy Kramer will sound the Gjallarhorn before the Vikings game against the Texans. He's in good company - following Bud Grant and Randy Moss, who had the honors for the first two home games.

Interesting. Although I've been a fan dating back to his Rice days, most of my Minnesota relatives don't have fond memories of Tommy - because of his drinking problems and some boorish public behavior while playing for the Vikings. But, fans in Minnesota have short memories. I was at the Monday night game versus the Giants. When Moss was introduced before the game the fans went crazy. He is truly beloved there. Everybody in Minnesota is so pumped up about the Vikings right now, that anybody wearing a Viking jersey will be cheered (except for Hillary and Trump of course - gosh, is there any pair of people in America hated more than those two?).

Over the years I've gravitated away from my Vikings roots and become a Texans fanatic. Today's game will be tough to watch. I'm pulling for the Texans, but am thinking they are headed into a college-type game day atmosphere. They'll have to play really well to win.

RE: Tommy Kramer
Tough day - as much as I love seeing the Vikings do well, I hate seeing the Texans lose. Looks like the Vikes have a legitimate shot at making it back to Houston for the Super Bowl. Not the Texans. Osweiler is reminding me of Teddy Bridgewater during his first season - too young and inexperienced, looks shaky in the pocket. I think he'll get better - it's just going to take a year or two of seasoning. That new Minnesota stadium looks great.

I think he went to his coaching school as well.

Until the Texans fix their O-line, nothing else matters.

O line has not been the same since Mike Brisiel (RG) and Eric Winston (RT) did not return after the 2011 season.

I was thinking Rick Greenspan, and got really confused. I wasn't thinking positions.

Why are you wasting any finger motion on the Texans?
