Tigers/Tulane By The Numbers
This weeks numbers are even more confusing that ever. A few times i have had to double and even triple check to make sure i was looking at right team.

Tulane 109th in total offense but top 16 in rushing offense. 13th in total defense but 114th in red zone defense. Both teams live off the turnovers. They do not fumble, recover a lot of fumble. But they throw the ball very poorly and throw to the other teams a lot.

Worried if we play again like we did in the first half last game and allow Tulane to get a lead they will grind it out on the ground and it could get ugly.

Tulane is a triple option team. They are still learning it and make a lot of mistakes. It's great for us because instead of practicing for the triple option one we we get two. Don't get me wrong Tulane runs theirs a little different but you still got some of the same concepts.

Very very few fumbles by a team learning the triple option. Seemed a lot like us in some way uses a lot of misdirection and bring flankers in to run on end around a lot. QB is more mobile than Ferguson and runs better.

Navy runs out of the flexbone set.

Tulane... Im not sure what that is.. its a triple option.. but its a new offensive set that the coach invented. Its some variation of the Spread Option.

Good thing is Memphis will get practice against the triple option, but that is kind of where the similarities end.

Tulane is simply another installation of the same offense Fritz was running to incredible success at Georgia Southern.

Triple option.
