Battle of Palo Duro Canyon

Ran across this and it reminded me of this battle, one of the most significant in the Indian Wars, ending Indian resistance in the South Plains. Casualties were over 1,000. 4 Indians, 1000 horses. It forced the Indians to return to the reservations without their horses.
