OT - Vehicle Gun Mount
I own a Blackhawk Serpa Quick Disconnect holster system. I love the setup. In my previous vehicle (older) I had it mounted with screws under the steering column. I believe it is in an excellent position for use. The problem I have run in to is that I recently bought a new vehicle and didn't want to screw holes in to the panel. I bought some adhesive velcro and mounted it that way. It held up for a while but in the type of heat we experience, the adhesive is losing it's hold.

My question is this: does anyone have a suggestion on a way to mount this system that will hold up to the heat? I found a G-Code adhesive patch but I am not sure that it will adapt to my Blackhawk system.

You could possibly rig something up with powerful magnets.

Hey eagle, get some BUTYL tape from a local hardware store. It is a 2 sided adhesive, used in many extreme environments. I use it on roofing jobs to seal trim to the roof. If it can hold up to those temperatures, it will be just fine inside a car. I would attach it, then attach your velcro to it and it should hold up just fine. Good luck.

Thanks for the responses guys. I went with a higher grade adhesive velcro. The previous wasn't made to withstand high heat. Hopefully this one works out.

I recommend this setup:

I call this setup the "Trafficnator".

You can also swap out the mini-gun for a Ma Deuce.
