Iowa State President speaks, says expansion is less likely
The Iowa State President has spoken to the student newspaper.

He says the odds of expansion at this point are not likely and that OU's position seems to have changed.

We already knew some of this, but I find it interesting who is speaking out on this and who isn't.

rumors have OU and TCU against expansion totally. Would seem very hard to get enough votes for the rest.

What does that tell you? OU and TCU have some definite options in hand. So too does Texas and likely Kansas.

And remember the impossibility has always been in the place of all 10. If Baylor is the leper now the possibility of placing 9 is much more feasible. Not likely, but feasible.

Or their expansion options are terrible and TV is not thrilled with any of this.

To me the tell here is T.C.U.. OU might very well just not like the candidates and go along with the networks. T.C.U. however, would find expansion without an option to be the best course of action for their own security. So if T.C.U. is saying no I think there has to be options.

I'd have to agree...if TCU wasn't having some level of quality discussion that made them feel comfortable in finding another home then there would be no reason not to vote yes on expansion.

If you are getting left behind anyways then might as well find your new bed mates now and ride out the remainder of the GOR with those 2 to 4 new programs getting major revenue boosts allowing them to invest more now in their athletic departments prior to more teams bolting.
