Fellow Seahawk fans. It's with a sad heart for a dear friend that I make this post. Our fellow fan and Seahawk alum, SoloHawk and his family lost his grandfather, Don Phillips, to Parkinson's disease.

Mr. Phillips was an avid UNCW fan and attended many games, including introducing Solohawk to UNCW sports at a young age.

I had the pleasure to become great friends with Solo during our years at UNCW. During that time and many times since he told me stories of attending games with his grandfather and I know without ever having met him how much he means to our friend.

Solo, I love ya buddy and wish the best for you and your family in this difficult time.

My granddad took me to my first game when I was 11 in February of 1997. We beat ODU in OT. I was hooked. Going to uncw games became our thing and we went to virtually every home game after that. Lots of good memories at trask with him
