After reading on this board about the loss last night, I was a little down but then I realized we are 4-1 !

Despite our stupid coaches playing the wrong players , despite our terrible QB and offensive line, and even though we have the worst attendance in the American (possible D-1a)


When I think about where the program is today where we can win without our best effort, without things going our way, we are miles ahead of a few years ago!

That said, the game wouldn't have been nearly as close if our guys hadn't suddenly forgotten how to tackle last night. It was really disturbing...

We have a good shot at being 5-1 after 6 games. Prett dang impressive for a new coach and new quarterback. Pretty impressive for ANY Memphis team

Last nights game was like riding the old Pippin at the fairgrounds. That chain drive would kick in. Those boards would rattle and you weren't really sure if you were going to make it up that first hill. Once you did you just had to ride out the bumps and it was downhill all the way until the end.

Like I said before, not only new coach, but the youngest coach in D-1. Very impressive.

Defense shot it's wad in the first half when our offense couldn't stay on the field, they were gassed at the end.

I will say a) I was spot on about the masked man in the face of criticism from the roarites and koolaid brigate, and 2) we only have 8 healthy players to open camp in basketball--not a great way to start.

Of course, the op sounds like a hysterical 15 year old girl using the sky is falling hyperbole after Memphis gutted out a tough win.

I believe the issue in the 4th Q when we were up by two touch downs we went into Prevent Defense way too early!!! It's was like handing them easy TD's.

Should have waited longer to play prevent d.
