We got an OL and QB problem
Ferguson is the Jay Cutler type of CFB. He will turn it over. Got lucky at least 3 times tonight. Until OL drastically improves, I'm scared every time Ferguson is in turnover prone situation.

Just think we were beat up from the Ole Miss game on a short week. Ferguson will look good next week.

1, Pollard's fumble on the return.

Do we have a Reddick type hidden in the redshirt group or scout team???????

We are really missing a healthy Jackson Dillion. Tigers version of Clay Mathews

Eh, Ferguson is fine. He has happy feet but for good reason. He does need to learn to slide up in the pocket instead of moving east and west. The OL has been awful the past two games. Ferguson is going to be a really good QB for us, just give him time.

Just do not want him to lose confidence while we are waiting on the OL to mature into a unit. Back to back games without him throwing a TD could get into his head. Thankfully he had no picks. That really would have messed with his head.

Have an extra day of practice before we head to Nawlins.

BTW if anyone is going . Try to find Pride and tell him he really needs to bring back Brodie. The show is lost without her.

We've got some time to get the ship right for the OL. Temple has a pretty solid defense and this is a very new OL and a new HC. 4-1 and it looks very very much like a bowl game this year as well. We've got a pretty solid product here in Memphis.

RE: We got an OL and QB problem
Agreed. OL looked like they missed the bus from Oxfart. Riley was high on several passes in the 1st half - even when he had a little time. Rarley have I seen an entire offensive unit play as poorly as did the O tonight. That being said, to win while only playing for 25 minutes is a good thing and ... until recently, very rare in Mempho.

I believe the O will recover. They were badly out of sync for whatever reason. That's Norvell's problem to sort out. Of greater concern to me is that we simply cannot pressure the QB ... not no way, not no how. And will hurt us very soon.

Tough to say QB is a problem when he's being chased all over the yard every play. He's not perfect and he's made some questionable throws but I think he'll keep getting better if we can protect him.

I think Dontrell Nelson did not play tonight. He is a key to our defense. I hope he is back next week.

Lenard Harden on special teams did really well tonight.

Isn't it great to be able to b1tch and moan and complain and bellyache and whine about your team?

Right after they score 31 points in a half?

With a 1st time head coach who is among the youngest in the FBS?

After playing a bruising road game against a top 15 team?

In their stadium?

On only 4 days rest?

And still be 4-1?

RE: We got an OL and QB problem
O line seemed to block pretty well once the coaching staff figured out how to call a standard running play.

"Hmmm, the opponent is rushing ex cornerbacks as defensive ends, and our tackles aren't having a lot of luck pass blocking them.....

"I'm stumped...

"Hey! You don't think an Off Tackle would work?"

"Stop talkin crazy..."
