The UH loss may put a different spin on the Herman sweepstakes. Does it take the shine off of him as far as the UT or LSU job?
The loss for UH today might be great for them in the long run. May keep him around for a while.

nah,, just drives home the point , you cant win a natty champ at uh.
One loss doesnt end your season at UT or LSU or SoCal

No. Herman will still have his choice of jobs.

I think Arkansas would love to be in on the Herman sweepstakes but that doesn't seem a likely choice by Mensa.

The transitive extension of this score does not fill me with warm fuzzies for next week.

Fortunately, scores aren't transitive.

But they come close enough to suggest that we are in serious trouble next week. Remember when I predicted 3-9 and you all told me I was crazy? I may have been wildly optimistic.

UTSA is really a Jeckyl and Hyde. Plays tough at home (close loss to ASU, big win over USM). But 2 losses (by more than 1 score) on the road to really bad teams (Colorado State, ODU).

Hoping the road UTSA shows up, but haven't seen a good version of Rice yet this season.

Marshall down 17 to UNT. They are really down this year as well. 1-4 with only win against Morgan St.

Interesting comment from the A&M game.

The commentator said that Tenn had a ton of yards but they needed some big plays... that you can't expect to be successful with repeated 10+ play drives.... because it's just too hard to be that consistent.

I agree. You can do it from time to time, but every so often you need to be able to puck up 20+

Our only hope for a CUSA win may be the game against UTEP. They lost at home to FIU tonight 35-21.

David Shaw has used JK's connection with Stanford to have DB consult for Stanford.

Stanford's defense and O line are not as good as in the past, but the real loss is at QB. Kevin Hogan was a solid performer who started at QB for 3.5 years. While clearly Chryst and Burns lack his experience, they seem to also lack his talent. He performed well his first year. So far, they have been anemic.

Talk about! Early in 4Q, WSU is leading 35-10.

Final score: 42-16. The Cardinal offense scored its only TD of the game on the last play of the game. (Stanford also scored only one TD last week at Washington.)

Charlotte has shown it can win on the road, hanging on to beat FAU in BocaRaton today, 28-23, in their game postponed from yesterday.

Yeah, same observation I made when watching their game against U of Washington - QB play is bottom P5 level.

Should be an interesting season going forward with regard to the CFP. Only three teams in Pac 12 are undefeated or have one loss and the Big 12 only has two. I could definitely see a scenario where one of the Big 10/SEC/ACC gets two teams in the playoff.
