In all fairness our AD just found out about it yesterday [/sarcasm]... pure ineptitude.

On Facebook I stated that many of us already knew about this and were hoping it was another school. Guy answered "cool story bro" so I posted the link to the original announcement on fbschedules.com. He didn't comment further after that.

It's time to 'throw in the towel' on 'big news' or 'big announcements'.

Between the folks in San Marcos, the "Big" Sky and the "Big South", all of the recent "big" announcements have certainly been deflating. Perhaps the "Big" 12 will have an opportunity to change that in the next two weeks...

I have literally dreamt of that moment. I have to live vicariously through old media guides (got 12 of a possible 27 4-year ones now), newspaper clippings (got every game saved to an adobe file) and other stuff.

Got a 1985 media guide the other day. Been looking for that one for years. Punch to the gut to read future schedules for 1986 and 1987 in the back.

I really would love to see UTA restart Football . . . . I seriously can't imagine what it would be like to be an Alum, or student, of a college that didn't field a football team, especially in a state like Texas.

I hope it happens, would be great for UTA and for the conference . . .

To be fair, for all the folks that had no idea. This is some pretty big news. I was pretty dang excited when I read the announcement whenever we first found out.

How's SHSUs OOC schedule looking?

Sorry Bobcat fans... heard something 'big' happened for Georgia State. Know if Larry Teis was taking notes on what's really 'big' vs what is not so big?

Looking forward to eventually renewing the rivalry with you guys and having Bailiff back in San Marcos before long. This SFA thing is a bit one sided for my liking.
