RE: This Week In Schadenfreude -- Week 6
In an upset, intelligent planners think of safety first over previously highly ranked football in the postponing of ODU-UMass (moved up to Friday), FAU-Charlotte, and UCF-Tulane. Congrats to the officials responsible for making those decisions.

Yet TBD: Georgia- USC east (sounds like it will be moved or postponed)

RE: This Week In Schadenfreude -- Week 6
how about the weather in the Notre Dame/NC State game.

could be huge in that if Notre Dame loses, that's already 4 losses for them. Even if they win out- they would be behind any 10-2 ACC team already in selection priority and 1 more loss and behind any 9-3 teams.

Notre Dame-NCSU may never start up again if they're waiting for a lightning delay.

23-21 KU. About 3 minutes left, TCU just shredding KU's D on this drive, they'll have the lead very soon.

The only thing worse than the length of these games are these games where the clearly better team takes it sweet old time showing up to the game. Big XII games bring it more than anyone else. Unwatchable because of how bad the play is from whistle to whistle.

Frogs escape with the W after KU's kicker misses from 54 yards.

sorry but folks that complain about length of games to me are just full of it. Right now you know how many noon kickoffs are still going on? 2. 1 of them is Texas/Oklahoma- it didn't kick off until like 1210. The other was Notre Dame/NC State that had a 30 minute weather delay.

If you had to track the advertising for sports, you'd understand. And if you wrote this at 3:56pm and you're actually defending this stuff when there's still games on, smh.

Play the game.

Sorry but its WAY overstated. 1 and only 1 game ran long in the early session- Oklahoma/Texas. And that game went about 3:40. A bit long- but it happens.

Yup. Every week, ESPN has an SEC game at 7 pm ET followed by a Pac-12 game, and they push the start of the Pac-12 game to 10:41 or 10:43 pm ET because the SEC game is still going, and even after doing that the SEC game doesn't end until 10:50 or 10:55.

Bring back games that end in 3 hours. Not 3:39, not 3:55, not 4:17, but 3:00.

games haven't ended in 3 hours in at least 20 years- and I think even way before that. I mean, in 2006 even- the year where they started the clock on change of possessions- games took 3:06.

I think the general feel is that 3:15-3:20 is the sweet spot for length of games.

I think they should go to the pro rule and drop the clock stoppage after first downs. That would speed it up some.
