Don't be so subjective and twisting, JB. Long time Bucs fans have a lot to be excited and pleased with in the revamped basketball program. The team is predicted to finish 2nd, and within reason is the coveted 1st place conference finish, trip to the dance, and of course a rare chip on the shoulder win over Tennessee. These are milestone achievements that have been desired for years. More distinguishable than stats, our basketball culture and pride in Forbes inspires a passion to witness true excellence for once. Will it be a good season without the fanfared milestones? Probably. But it won't be historical, per se.

As fickle as the outcome of the game may be (I will remind you of our mutual perspective on the Chattanooga finals), as many games come and go without note and some with herald, the Bucs fans are ready for history. And we have the right leader and players in place. Forbes set the bar at Bluenanza, not the fans. We celebrate overachievement, success beyond common expectations. The challenge has been voiced and targeted by the man himself.

Deepest, most developed ETSU roster I'll ever have seen in person. GO BUCS!

For ETSU basketball to really matter in the eyes of Joe Fan, ETSU MUST BEAT ut. If we don't, anything we do will always be met with "but they didn't even beat UT." I want to see the average fan in this area have to acknowledge that ETSU is better than UT. If that can happen, the perception of our program will change. If only briefly, it's something.

To add on that, if ETSU beats UT but fails to win the conference and make a strong showing of top 50-100 competitiveness, the orange koolaide drinkers and indifferent to ETSU will only insist that UT had a down year. They won't give ETSU credit as a program on the rise unless the high bar is achieved.

Forbes has also scheduled this UT game pretty nicely. With a lot of new players on the team he has given them some time to work things out - not scheduling UT till 12 games in. He also leads up to UT with 3 tough road games against 2 high majors (Dayton and Mississippi State) and a solid mid-major in Morehead State. The Bucs should be ready.

Tennessee will be down. WAY down, like probably a 10-13 win team.

If UT is only projected to win 10-13 games then there is no excuse for ETSU to lose to them on their home court.

UT won 17 games last year and lost most of their good players. We will have a huge advantage inside against them and I believe we just have more talent all around.

I agree that UT will be weak this year. My concern, if at all unclear, is that non Bucs fans will still call an ETSU win a fluke and nothing more than UT's loss if ETSU doesn't make real noise over the season.

I would love nothing more than for Tennessee fans to close the year *****ing and asking how ETSU has a better coach and basketball team. Petty? Yes, but to the victor goes the spoils. One day I hope to see an actual in-state rivalry hold fast among three East Tennessee programs: UTK, UTC, ETSU. UTK will do everything to squirm away from in-state decline, but it's what the true fans in East Tennessee deserve.

I'd like to throw Middle Tenn in to that rivalry as well. We never play them though for some reason

I called today and was told they were just being mailed out today.

Ah. The pain and toll of preferring my 3rd row seat from the top. I like receiving my season tickets, even if I got banished to the middle school lot. I will miss Lot A, and trying to go up that hill in the snow.

If one ordered 2 additional UT tickets, those will be sent later I assume, since they weren't in the envelope.

I also ordered additional UT tickets and did not receive them in the envelope, so yes I guess we will get those later. I actually got demoted to lot C- which I didn't even think needed a permit. Ordered more tickets than I ever have for this upcoming season (men and women) and somehow got bumped to a different parking lot. Not complaining, as I don't have a preference between parking lots at Freedom Hall.

Still haven't received my tickets. I called the ticket office and they said my tickets were mailed out last Thursday or Friday. Anyone else have this issue?
