Georgia Southern fans can only hope that applies to us. So far, it seems that our coaches are expecting the players to adapt to them, and early results are not promising despite a wealth of senior, experienced talent ... especially on offense.
Well when your coach admits he is struggling with time management on being a HC my faith of it turning around this year is low. Also when you hire a previous OC where his offense regressed every single year when he was here earlier it does not bode well either.

With that single quote he admitted he is in over his head.
Unfortunately the mistake the AD made with the previous coach's buyout led to an overreaction and a bad buyout in this situation, so the AD has basically mishandled his last two contract negotiations.
There was a puff piece in the Savannah rag that stated the new HC is "the right man for the job," which is based entirely on the fact that the writer perceives the coach as a nice guy and the 2016 recruiting class is much ballyhooed (although the jury is out on that too).
I am guessing that will be the party line from this point on, that they are "building for the future" and the AD "wanted a coach that would be for the long haul," which for good or bad is not realistic at the mid major level in any sport. IMO that is a feeble attempt to polish a turd and deflect accountability on both the AD's and HC's parts.
The other variable is that GS has a new university president and we really don't know where the president's head is at either.
I can see this spiraling out of control leading to hopefully a major house cleaning in the future that won't be cheap or comfortable. At least the GS fanbase has some nice memories..........

So you're saying the air above you, the region of the atmosphere visible from Earth, is rapidly moving down at an uncontrollable rate?

The gave us FIVE turnovers....it is almost statistically impossible to lose a game being +5 in turn overs. I think teams win a near a 80%+ winning rate just being +2 in the turn overs.
They sucked bad we sucked way worse end of story.
We had nearly 600 yards of offense.
We held you guys to 160 yards rushing.
If it wasn't for the damn turnovers we'd have won by 3 scores.
What you saw from our 0-4 squad tonight was that we are finally on the cusp of playing as expected.
I know you guys are bummed. Certainly let one get away tonight. But let us not pretend that game was even on the stat sheet and we got a lucky break to win.

At the same time, they had 12 chances to kill the game late and failed pretty miserably at it.
We'd be saying similar things if we had forced 5 turnovers and lost.
Sure. My point is the five turnovers were the lone reason it was close. They had a 9 minute drive in the 3rd quarter and after that essentially did not move the ball again. I mean literally not move it forward again.

Are you suggesting that the fourth quarter march, urr drive to victory was only in my imagination? I mean literally???
