RE: Tarik Black looking' good in pre-season...
Been through this argument over and over.

When JP forced Tarik to make a public apology over some BS that didn't matter to anyone but JP, it was over. He embarrassed the kid on purpose and for no good reason that to satisfy his own pettiness. He knew that at that time, Tarik had few options and would have to cowtow to the moron running the basketball program, but I guarantee that he made up his mind at that moment that he was getting out of here at the earliest moment he could.

I applauded when Tarik transferred. I would have to. He was treated horribly here.

No that isn't the standard.

because if that is the case, anyone who leaves because they declare for the NFL or NBA draft isn't a tiger. Or someone whose career ended because of injury. Or someone kicked off the team. Etc.

If they played for us, they are a Tiger. Whether you like it or not. It's not like we are talking about their accomplishments with the other team while they play for the other team.

Tarik Black played for Memphis longer than Penny Hardaway or Derrick Rose. He played for as many seasons as Larry Finch. Go smoke a Black and Mild and relax.

You need to practice reading comprehension-----I said finish college as a TIGER----going early in the draft---does not change that they ended college as a TIGER-----whether you like it or not---I said ENDING college career as a TIGER. He ended his Tiger career as a TRAITOR----whether you like it or not.

Lol, that’s your dumb rule and not reality. You’re the typical fan who supports the coach over the program I spoke of a few years ago. Pastner ran off more potentially good players than anyone I can think of, including Cal.

While most Tiger fans have realized what the REAL problem was you and others like Penny Lane continue to kiss Josh Pastner’s ring. By your logic he’s a TRAITOR too because he left the Tigers on his own. He didn't have the guts to finish his contract.

My advice to you and other Tiger fans that are defending an indefensible bad coach is to follow & support him at Georgia Tech. Yep, join their board because he is going to need all the help he can get.

...and Tarik had every right to look out for his interests. Pastner didn't cut it as a coach, so he did what he felt he needed to do to protect his future. If you had a dumb*** boss that was jeopardizing your future, wouldn't you seek new employment?

By logic, then Tarrant, Godfrey, and Pellom were all traitors. A traitor is a traitor once they commit the act.

Are you saying you like traitors in certain circumstances? If so, your situational ethics is garbage.

Yeah--as traitors to their old school. According to your thought process.

So you DO like traitors?

Just wanted to make sure.

Carry on.

Is this traitor talk really going on still? The dude ran off an entire recruiting class except for Markel and people still think the players were traitors?? I'm baffled by this.

What difference does it make no one should DEMAND another to apologize.

"Traitor" seems too harsh a term to toss around regarding a college basketball player, especially in this instance. TB and JP had issues. TB moved on. Traitor? Nah.

In a lot of our books, Black gets a pass. We simply do not have all the info as to what happened behind closed gym doors. I do know that in my years of playing at the junior, highschool and junior Olympic level I have never seen a worse coach than Pastner.

You want a link for every preseason and summer league game AT played in? How about you provide a link to one game where he did that. You are the one who made the claim after all.

Tarik Black looking' good in pre-season...
Pastner was the worst college basketball coach I've ever laid eyes on. He'll scrape by 3-4 years at Tech and then be fired. He'll either finish his career as a D3 coach somewhere or as an assistant.

It was something in practice if I remember right. Any other coach would have handled it internally and not embarrassed the player. Even a hard ass like Bobby Knight would have thought it was ridiculous.
