I still don't think he has had a breakout games yet this season, still waiting for that. I hope if he gets in the groove, candle keeps him in the game to get at least 25 carries this week.

He's been a marked man but with Woodside throwing as he has team's will back off the line or pay a horrible price. That opens things up for the backs.

Call me crazy, but it just seems like he's lost a step the last two years and doesn't hit the hole or accelerate like he did his sophomore season. I know he was banged up last year and this year defenses are keying on him. But when he does have an opening, it's like watching molasses in January.

Mancz and UT's OL opened up some huge holes for Kareem. Losing an All-American OL and the MAC's MVP says everything.

Kareem looks to be very physically fit. He was a big part of the BYU comeback. I think he has changed his running style. He has gone away from only being a power back, where he is prone to injury to a combo style where is trying to escape situations and be a power back. Other teams know his name these days. That's the big difference.

I know he is gonna break off some runs.

Agree with his fitness level - but I think he needs to pick when he needs to be physical on his runs. Sometimes he takes punishment he doesn't need to take. He is an animal and punishes everyone that tries to tackle him. I think there are a lot of times when that is not necessary - and has a lot of defenders going low on him - which could result in serious leg injuries. Instead of looking to take those hits head on, he could be a little more shifty, but not by running laterally or stopping and shifting directions. That rarely works well unless you are a special talent.

BYU players and coaches were seeking out Kareem after the game to congratulate him. He certainly made an impression upon them.

He has either improved his receiving skills or is simply being used more effectively. Last year he had 11 catches for 45 yards, mostly as a safety outlet. This year he already has 9 catches for 76 yards on designed plays. That versatility will help him down the road.

hunt has not slowed down. at the byu game he blasted through holes. he shook players in position to make a tackle and broke tackles. byu's back ran through huge holes and got around sealed corners. he ran wild but didn't get the yards on guys in position to make a tackle like hunt did. i do agree that hun't style has become a bit more jumpy and lateral, but when he has a hole he is all downhill still.

He seems to be looking for a hole, where as before, he would make hiis own hole. I think he will have a break out game against EMU or Woodside will throw for 600 yards. Either way, we win big.
