RE: Week 5 Ranking CUSA Football Teams
1 - USM #1 scoring offense and defense in the league at the moment.

2 - WKU - Again, the difference in the Vandy game is the only thing keeping them ahead of the MUTS

3 - MTSU - It'll come down to the game between the two to determine these two teams IMO. If you had told me MTSU had a better scoring offense and WKU a better defense, I'd say you were topsy turvy. But it's true right now.

4 - ODU - Those two early losses to App Stat and NC-State really helped I believe.

5 - La Tech - Beat the easy teams on the schedule, lost to the tough teams...

6 - UTSA - I don't think they're as bad as their record says... considering who they played.

7 - UNT - L- W - L - W - L - Look out Marshall, another reason I picked UNT for a win. They're consistently 500 at the moment...

8 - FIU - Win over FAU moves em to a spot I didn't think they'd get to.. above 10, but I don't expect them to stay this high.

9 - Marshall - Giving up 41.8 ppg.. is just BAD.. REALLY bad, and almost had me dropping them even lower than 9th to pair you up with Charlotte

10- FAU - It's what you call the best of the worst slot right now.

11 - Rice. No they haven't won a game.. But their offense is better than UTEP's.. and their defense is only 2 points per game worse. I do see Rice moving up a little when FAU stumbles some more though.

12 - Charlotte - They've been drubbed in EVERY game but their FCS one. Giving up 44.2 points a game is not a sign of more than a 1 win season at best. (126th in the nation... only Texas State and Bowling Green U are worse)

13 - UTEP - 14.6 Points At least that's what they're scoring per game and not total on the season... 125th in the nation, ahead of such luminaries like Buffalo and Georgia STate. But hey, they're better than South Carolina right now.

WOW! That's UGLY!!! 7 teams combine to have a record of 6 - 27. That makes the SBC look P5 class.

We probably will lose this week, but we will be on cruise control through the east, rolling charlotte, odu, and the F_Us. Probably lose to mtsu and wku.

Lol where is all this north Texas hype coming from? They have done nothing. Marshall will easily win this week.

If you lose to UNT, USM, MT and WKU you won't be much better than 9th, 6th maybe?

I've got two teams from C-USA in my top 15 of this week's Access Bowl power rankings. Personally I'd have the conference looking like this:

1. Southern Miss
2. Middle Tennessee
3. Western Kentucky
4. Louisiana Tech
5. Old Dominion
6. Marshall
7. North Texas
8. UTSA
9. FIU
10. FAU
11. Charlotte
12. UTEP
13. Rice

RE: Week 5 Ranking CUSA Football Teams
The Howl Yeah crowd looked like the stAte crowds of old, I'm guessing Blake Anderson gets at least one more year, but if he doesn't turn it around and/or they don't get his replacement right, they're headed right back to where they always have been middling football at best, fighting for fans once deer season arrives. The Freeze/Malzahn years will be an ancient memory and the only thing that will be funnier than how seriously they were taken as a CUSA candidate will be their Big XII aspirations.

I guess on the upside, they might get a shot to bring Malzahn back, maybe he'd stay for two years in his 2nd stint in Jonesboro.

I could not believe that GA Southern lost that game with nine seconds to go after leading forever. The TD catch was a miracle. If the original call had been incomplete, that call would have stood also. It was just that close, appearing to me that the knee and the hand hit the ground simultaneously.

And that fourth and sixteen run by the A-State QB was just a killer, reminding me of Towson and fourth and 29 (remember that, 12thM?). The game should have been over right there.

Fourth and twentydamn-nine. It still sucks.

Yeah. With around 3 min left you could just tell there was about to enter an implosion.

Sure do Aggie and it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, like a salad at a pizza place.

Yeah and AState suddenly seemed to be a different kinda team as soon as that drive started after that 4th Down run.

I assume you think Marshall is much better than MTSU, because they sure didn't have an easy win. Score was 23-13 with a minute to go, NT went into a risky defense to try to get the ball back and gave up a long td run.

A Marshall win would not surprise many NT fans, but I doubt NT at home is going to be an easy win for any CUSA team.
